Usually young children refuse to bathe very often. Personal hygiene is very important, especially for baby skin that is particularly sensitive.
How often your child needs a bath depends on your child’s age and activities.
Below you will find some guidelines that will help you understand how often a child aged 6 and over needs a bath.
Kids ages 6 to 11 need a bath:
• At least twice a week.
• When dirty, such as playing in the mud.
• After pool or sea.
• When they get sweaty or have body odor.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the guidelines for adolescent hygiene are:
• Take a bath daily.
• Wash their face twice a day to remove oil and dirt.
• Take a bath or shower after swimming, playing sports or sweating heavily.
If you notice a skin problem, you should immediately visit an experienced dermatologist who will diagnose the case and give you the appropriate treatment.
