Does chocolate really cause acne?
The higher SPF protection we use in sunscreen, the better?
There are several myths about proper skin care. But which ones are true?
1. Sunscreen: According to experts, suncreens with SPF 50 protection have small additional benefit compared to suncreens with SPF 30 protection. Definitely you should use a sunscreen of SPF 30, but no lower than that.
2. Eating chocolate and fatty foods causes acne: There is no evidence that any specific food causes acne.
3. Antibacterial soaps: The skin is made of oil, fat and water so that it can be protected from bacteria. If you wash with antibacterial soap, the skin's natural shield is destroyed. Prefer a mild cleanser and of course don't forget your moisturizer!
4. Vitamin E erases the signs of aging: There's little evidence to support this claim. There are many options for improving the appearance of your skin. Seek for your dermatologist’s advice for the proper care of your skin.
5. When we drink water we protect our skin from dehydration: What keeps our skin hydrated is not water, but natural fat! What you need to remember is the daily use of advanced skincare products recommended by your dermatologist.
